Welcome to the Miss Hewitt Husky Pageant !

2009 pageant: Saturday, August 22
at 12 noon at HTHS Performance Center!

Our pageant is a fund raiser for the Hewitt-Trussville Husky Band program. All profits go into the band's general fund, which benefits both the high school and middle school programs. For general band info, please visit hewitthuskyband.com.

The mission statement for the Miss Hewitt Husky Pageant is two-fold. As mentioned, it is a fundraiser to benefit the band students and the band program at Hewitt-Trussville. Additionally, we hope to provide a fun and uplifting experience for the participating girls and their families. We hope every girl feels special and feels like a princess.



*******IMPORTANT INFO FOR CONTESTANTS************
  1. If you entered 'most photogenic' we must have your picture before 11 am on Saturday the 22nd. You may bring it to the workshop on Friday or bring it Saturday before 11 am. Remember to put name and grade on back.
  2. "Best Wishes" roses will be on sale in the lobby. They will be a pink rose beautifully wrapped with greenery and baby's breath. You can write a 'best wishes' message to a contestant and send it to the dressing area. Roses will be $6 each.
  3. A professional photographer will be on hand before and during the pageant. You may have photo packages made. Also, a photo of each grade will be made immediately after awards are given for that grade. The girls will be escorted as a group to the photography area and parents can meet them there.
  4. If you submit a 'most photogenic' photo, please pick it up in the photographer's area when group pictures are being made (after awards)
  5. For those of you who have not visited the new HTHS. . . . you're going to love it! When you turn off Deerfoot Parkway, look for the school on the right and take the 2nd right turn (just past the stone wall). There is plenty of wonderful parking. When you face the school, the performance center is to your right. We are asking everyone to enter through the main front door to the performance center.
  6. Four separate dressing rooms are available off the hallway behind the auditorium. Restrooms are nearby. Remind your daughter to visit the restroom before dressing.
  7. A concession stand will be open in the lobby, selling drinks and packaged foods. However, no food or drinks are allowed inside the theatre.
  8. There will be no professional videographer. Feel free to video. Please remember not to block aisles or someone else's view.
  9. K, 1st, and 2nd should check in by 11 am; 3rd, 4th, and 5th by 11:30; and 6th, 7th, and 8th by noon!
